steelevisions.com Photographer Phil Steele compares Canon Speedlite models 270EX, 430EX II, and 580EX II and helps you decide which one to buy based on your needs. Price these Canon Flashes at Amazon.com: 430EX II www.amazon.com 580EX II www.amazon.com 270EX www.amazon.com I was hard on the little 270EX in the video, but it's actually a great flash if you are using a compact camera with a hot-shoe, like the G10. Otherwise, for DSLR cameras, I recommend the full-size flashes. This is just raw footage Testing out my new 10mm fisheye from sigma, haven't had this lens that long, so still have to test it more, to get a good overall meaning of it, but from what I've used it for it is absolutely awesome! picked this up from 17th street photo in New York last monday to gether with a sigma ef 610 dg super, a circular polarizer, a lowepro backpack and two 8GB SDHC cards. the service there is great!
If you are needing a high-powered shoe mount flash but are on a tight budget, give this Sigma speedlight a closer look.

Note: This occurs even if I get close with Paper, Plastic or other non-leading materials. So our guess is that it might be a magnetic field that produces this error. But how do I fix this?
I needed a more powerful flash gun to shoot an upcoming birthday party which will be held in a large hall. I didn't want to spend a lot on the unit as I don't use flash in this way very often. The compactness and power of this unit were considerations in the purchase of the unit. This is my review of the unit

The Metz is really nice and has some notable features such as High Speed Sync, ETTL and ETTL II, Auto Focus Beam Assist and it is firmware upgrade capable via the internet.I bought the Metz after trying the Sigma EF 610 DG Super. The Sigma didn't set the flash head zoom correctly due to be mounted on a crop sensor camera. I am happy to say the Metz will adjust itself according to the sensor size of the camera it is mounted to and the Canon 430 EX II can do this also. The specs on the Metz state that it has a little more power than the Canon 430 EX II, I haven't tried the Canon so I can't say that it does, but it is a very powerful flash. The ETTL feature of the Metz is very accurate and pictures in low light turn out nicely. The Metz has so many features and adjustments, I recommend a potential buyer to download the manual and study all of the features when comparing flashes. Another strong selling point was being able to update the firmware which I did as soon as it arrived and the whole procedure took about 5 minutes start to finish. the ability to update the firmware means that it will not be obsolete when new cameras come out.Bottom line is that I bought a flash for 199 that is very ...
