Canon Ixus 200 IS - 720p @ 30fps
This is a very quickly jammed together / shot test video from the Canon Ixus 200 IS. The only issues I have are the way the compact camera handles light during videos - sometimes if a bright light source comes into frame, the camera compensates and the image darkens right down - this is emphasised by the speed at which the camera responds in this situation - slowly. That said, for a compact camera, the 720p HD video is very good. Canon IXUS 200 is (PowerShot SD980 IS) Video Test Colour Accent 720.mov
Recently purchased Canon IXUS 200 is (PowerShot SD980 IS) Video Test with Colour Accent and digital zoom in movie mode. Not everyone including myself can afford to pay for the latest gadgets at the introductory prices and this £300 camera is now widely available under £100 stock clearance / refurbished or even secondhand in a "loved" condition. The digital zoom loses pretty much all definition so setting the zoom before recording starts is required. In some cases this will result in multiple movies being taken but with on-board editing on the IXUS 200 and a very easy to use editing suite with the Canon ZoomBrowser EX software the clips are easily put together. Camera settings are easy to navigate and learn and the bundled software again I found to be intuitive and user friendly. www.canon.co.uk
