Test video from my new Nikon D5000 18-55 VR Kit - AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G, CMOS sensor, 23.6 x 15.8 mm; total pixels: 12.9 million. This video has not been re-processed in any way, ie uploaded straight off the memory card. Please note, this video is purely a test only. I will not be using the D5000 to create my future videos. The Canon Camcorder is there for that!

Nikon D5000 Unboxing and Nikkor 55-200mm VR lens *Better Quality!
*Better quality! This is my most expensive unboxing video. In this video I unboxed a Nikon D5000 digital SLR camera 2 lens kit. Got this at Costco Online for a total of $1126! After playing with the camera for several hours, I was just amazed how easy it was to use and the quality of the pictures! I will have a review up here in a few months as I am still trying to get all the details so I can give you a very good review! Also be sure to subscribe because I will be doing a lot of reviews and tutorials around this camera! This camera is a 12 MegaPixel camera with a CMOS sensor. It is the second Nikon DLSR that is able to capture video. Also it is the first Nikon DSLR to have a fully articulated screen. This camera falls between the Nikon D60 and D90 models. This camera falls in-between an entry-level DSLR and a mid range DSLR so basically your getting both of best worlds with this camera! Please leave a comment if you have questions. Right now I can only answer simple questions about the camera as I am still getting familiar with the device. Nikon D5000 w/ Nikon DX af-s nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens Manual Focus test
Just showing the capabilities of this Camera during video mode. Note this, there is no continuous auto-focus option available during video recording in the D5000. If you plan to buy this cam, Think twice. I'm not saying that this DSLR sucks but, in my opinion, Canon owns just a wee bit when it comes to video recording. By the way, the videos resolution is 640X424. And for pictures, Canon and Nikon are just the same in the long run. But Nikon has more bokehlicious features. Cheers.

Nikon D5000 Lens and Video Test Footage 55-200/18-55/70-300
Getting a feel for the Nikon D5000 with three tele lenses. Nikkor 55-200 Nikkor 18-55 Nikkor 70-300 Lighting was from a 95 watt house lamp with a yellow lamp shade attached. Tripod was a cheap dynex video tripod. I was too lazy to go and get the manfrotto. So there is wobble in the video and shake. In my opinion the video is decent, I will be using this d5000 as a B camera to my HMC150 for some shoots. Definitely not the best camera for DSLR video but with a decent lens collection I feel it's very possible to create some very extraordinary scenes in the right hands. There is a lot of CMOS "wobble" when moving around too much, a good tripod is highly recommended.

How To Fix Your Sh*t: Nikon Bayonet Mount (AF-S 18-55/18-105/18-135 Variants)
Accidents do happen, right? Sometimes you're out with a lovely companion just having some drinks, laughing and taking some pictures along the way when the inevitable happens: you drop the small bag carrying your DSLR. Not allowing it to ruin your social interaction, you pass it off and let the evening go on. (Disclaimer: Purely hypothetical event; author denies any involvement with said lovely companion.) In the morning you find out exactly what happened: the plastic tabs on the mount of your lens has broken off. While most people would probably write off the whole lens altogether, it just doesn't seem economical when a fix shouldn't be that hard.
