Bigma attachment issue on a Nikon D90
Video meant for seller and tech support. Video shows the error generated by my brand new Sigma 50-500mm OS lens on my Nikon D90 body. During the error it was impossible to see through the viewfinder --mirror or shutter freeze?-. While taking a picture the shutter would only go half-way and the Err word would flash in the upper LCD, no matter if the camera was on or off. Taking the battery out and re-inserting it would have no effect. Only switching to a Nikon lens would reset the camera. Err would still flash as soon as the Nikon lens mounted, but pushing the button as for taking a pic would eliminate the flashing Err message -no picture would actually be recorded. This happened 3 times in 2 different days. Sigma explains it as an attachment issue. I was able to take several shots the first time out of the box before the issue started.

It was my starter cam to learn ISO, Aperture etc etc, and i'm now ready to upgrade to the superior models. I took very good care of this cam and was always stored in it's camera bag. I looked over the cam under close observation and it shows no sign of scratches or scuffs, It's pretty well NEW! The only thing wrong with this cam is one day i took the camera out of it's bag and the memory card slot cover was open and it hooked and broke off, I was devastated, but noticed it doesn't effect anything with the cameras performance or the actual memory card slot at all! The piece will be in with the gear and to my understanding it can be fixed but it don't need to be.
