Der eine findet eine Kamera nur noch klotzig, dem anderen hilft er beim Handling. Der eine empfindet das Extragewicht als störend, der andere emfpindet ihn als Erleichterung bei groÃen Objektiven.Bei den Olympus Profi-Bodys setzt Olympus auf hochwertige aber auch teure Materialien. Das Motto ist klar. Wenn die Kamera schlagfest ist, dann ist es der Handgriff auch. Ist der Body Staub- und Spritzwassergeschützt, muss der Handgriff diese Kriterien auch erfüllen. Durch solche "Umstände" wird so ein Teil natürlich auch mal etwas teurer. Dafür erfüllt der HLD-4 diese Aufgaben mit Bravur.Wie auch der HLD-5 ist der HLD-4 nicht mit einem speziellen Akku ausgerüstet wie es für Handgriffe normal ist. Er besitzt dafür zwei Ladekammern für den BLM-1 Akku der auch im Normalbetrieb in der E-3 bzw. der E-30 sitzt. Dazu gibts es noch einen Batteriekorb (im Lieferumfang) der mit 6 AA-Batterien bestückt werden kann falls die Akkus mal unterwegs leer gehen.
