Pentax K-5 preview
Pentax has announced the latest member of its DSLR line-up, the K-5. The new model is based on the Japanese manufacturer's current flagship DSLR, the K-7. Body design and control layout are identical but the K-5 comes with a new 16.3 megapixel CMOS sensor, faster continuous shooting and a very high maximum sensitivity of ISO 51200 (the highest in an APS-C camera so far).

Received my brand new Pentax K-5 recently and here's a sped up unboxing that sounds like I inhaled a lot of helium - Mijonju style!! Such a nice solid little DSLR. Love everything about it. Key reasons why I got it: 1. In body Stabilization = small compact stabilized prime lenses. 2. Superb build quality in a compact body size. 3. Best ergonomics (subjective) 4. Fully weather sealed when paired with a WR or DA* lens 5. Amazing little compact prime lenses available only from Pentax. The DA and FA limited series. 6. Beschreibung Mit dem Adapter können Sie alle Pentax K-Objektive an Ihrer Canon EOS-Spiegelreflexkamera benutzen. Der Adapter passt an alle Canon EOS-Gehäuse, darunter auch die digitalen Modelle. Die Blende am Objektiv muss manuell eingestellt werden, Ihre Kamera berechnet automatisch die Belichtung (Zeitautomatik). Fokussieren müssen Sie manuell. Der Rand des Adapters ist extrem dünn und trotzdem sehr stabil in der Verarbeitung, dadurch bleibt die Unendlicheinstellung (für den Fokus ins unendliche) des angeschlossenen Objektivs erhalten. Der Adapter passt millimetergenau in das Bajonett, rastet sicher ein und ist somit staubdicht und bequem ein- und auszuschrauben. Die Stoppschraube verhindert ein Überdrehen des Adapters. Handhabung: Den Adapter zunächst an das Objektiv anbringen. Danach die rote Markierung an der Markierung an der EOS-Kamera ausrichten und das Objektiv an der Kamera wie gewohnt befestigen. Zum Lösen erst das Objektiv inkl. Adapter abnehmen. Danach lässt sich der Adapter vom Objektiv entfernen, in dem Sie den Hebel am Adapter anheben und diesen dann abdrehen. Hinweis: Dieser Adapter eignet sich konstruktionsbedingt nicht für Kameras mit einem Vollformatsensor (zB Canon EOS 5D), da das hintere Objektivende mit dem Schwingspiegel kollidiert. www.enjoyyourcamera.com

Pentax K-5 :: Rui and the Office Acoustic
Testing out the video on my Pentax K-5. My colleague Rui just happened to be playing the office acoustic at the time and I thought I'd take advantage of it and shoot a few shots. I used an old Pentax M-50mm 1.7 manual focus lens and the In-Body Stabilization worked like a charm Sound was recorded on an iphone and video was mistakenly recorded at 720p @ 30fps I'll try and shoot a 1080p @ 25fps example soon PLEASE PENTAX!! FIRMWARE UPGRADE TO 24p and Manual controls would be so awesome!! PRETTY PLEASE??

Kiwifotos Lens Mount Adapter: Pentax K Mount Lenses to Canon EOS
The adapter fits reasonably well on EOS bodies, but the spring that holds the lens in place is too short. Once in, the lens does not stay firm, but wobbles and this makes focusing and holding the camera a tricky operation.
