Hoe groter het scherm des te makkelijker het is om de foto die gemaakt is terug te bekijken en te beoordelen, maar daarnaast is het natuurlijk ook vaak het scherm waarop je de instellingen kunt bekijken en bewerken. Deze camera beschikt over een beeldscherm grootte van 2,7 inch. Een belangrijk aspect waar veel mensen naar kijken is het aantal megapixels die de digitale camera heeft. Hoe hoger het aantal megapixels des te scherper de foto en hoe groter de foto afgedrukt kan worden. Dit product heeft 14,1 megapixels. Wanneer een digitale camera beschikt over een optische zoom dan houdt dit in dat de camera door middel van het bewegen van de lenzen het object wat je wilt fotograferen dichterbij kan halen. Bij optische zoom kan worden gesteld dat deze beter is dan digitale zoom omdat hierbij het zoomen softwarematig gebeurt. Door het verschuiven van de lenzen verander je de brandpuntafstand maar het vergrootte beeld omvat wel het hele oppervlak van de sensor. Doordat het gehele oppervlakte van de sensor wordt gebruikt blijft de foto zijn maximale resolutie behouden in tegenstelling tot de digitale zoom. Deze camera heeft een optische zoom ratio van 1:4. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W350 digital camera is based around a 1/2.3"-type 14.1 effective megapixel Sony SuperHAD CCD image sensor with RGB color filter array, coupled to a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar-branded 4x optical zoom lens. The Sony W350's lens offers a 35mm-equivalent range from a generous 26mm wide angle to a moderate 105mm telephoto. The lens has a two-step aperture with ND filter, which offers either F2.7 or F8.0 at wide angle; at telephoto the maximum aperture is F5.7, and the minimum aperture isn't stated. Autofocusing is possible to a minimum of just four centimeters at wide angle, or 60 centimeters at telephoto. The camera can capture 4:3 aspect ratio images at up to 4320 x 3240 pixel resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio images at up to 4320 x 2432 pixels, or 30 frames-per-second video at 720p (1280 x 720 pixel) resolution or below with monaural audio, using MPEG-4 compression. In addition, the W350 includes Sony's Sweep Panorama function for the first time in a CCD-based Cyber-shot camera, allowing automatic creation of a 185-, 127- or 88-degree panorama in-camera by simply sweeping the lens across the subject. On the rear panel of the Sony Cyber-shot W350 is a 2.7-inch TFT Clear Photo LCD panel with 100% coverage, and a resolution of 230400 dots. This serves as the only method of framing and reviewing images, given that the Sony W350 doesn't feature an optical viewfinder. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W350 Review
I will be reviewing the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W350. It is a 14.1 MP Camera with a CCD Lens. It is about $169.99 MSRP. In my opinion, CCD image sensors are better than CMOS sensors because they have less noise in low light and have better quality control. (No dead pixels.) The main downside to CCD sensors is the blue streak-glare from lights. 4x Optical Zoom Optical Image Stabilization Also, when you take pictures sideways, it automatically rotates the picture to the correct position. It has a 26 mm wide-angle lens and takes average quality panorama shots. Normal pictures have outstanding quality. This video is a 741.31 MB raw file uploaded directly to YouTube. The new successor of this camera is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W570. Only 2 features have changed from the W350 to the W570 It now has a 5x optical zoom instead of 4x It now has a 16.1 Megapixel sensor instead of a 14.1 Megapixel (Tip: When shopping for cameras, it's not about the megapixel count, it's about the features)
