This hawk was just munching on a pigeon for lunch on top of some guys car while a big group of people (at least 15) stood around and video taped him and took pictures. Then he flew off and left the head and a huge mess on the car.

Canon HV40 HDV 24F Film Test "Spirit of Lauderdale"
First day with my new Canon HV40 Camera. I took it out on the beach to test it out. The HDV 24F setting was used without CINE MODE. Sony Vegas was used to capture the video from the camera to the software and Magic Bullet Looks was used for the Introduction to give it more of a "Film" look. I know it is a bit shaky, but that is because the women were distracting me and I was a bit under the influence of brewsky... Cheers!

Canon HV40 Low Light Test (using exposure lock trick)
Tutorial : exposure lock trick got to www.youtube.com Shot inside the Bird Kingdom main aviary in Niagara Falls Canada. Main aviary source of light comes from outside through the glass ceiling. This particular day was cloudy and rainy. Good opportunity to test out the performance of the Canon hv40 in low lighting conditions. Used the exposure lock trick (photo button trick) to avoid the grainy look caused by the camera's automatic gain control. Camcorder setting was set on full HD.

in this video I create a Cinematic look using the canon t3i and the canon hv40 both shot in 1080p at 24fps. T3i with landscape color scheme. HV40 with tvmode at 1/48shutter speed. Color corrected in final cut pro X / 10
