I filmed this with a Kodak Zi6. I found the sound quality to be appalling! There was a constant hiss and sometimes crackling. I also found that I had to turn the volume up very loud on my computer / tv to be able to hear the video - so turn your volume up to max to hear the video - it was filmed in a silent room but you can hear hissing and crackling on the video. Maybe I was unlucky and mine was faulty, but I didn't want to risk getting another one the same so I sent mine back for a refund. I have tried the Kodak Zx1 which was better but still not great (had to turn volume up to max to hear videos made with that camcorder aswell - and there was still some hissing -though not as bad as this zi6), I have uploaded some sample footage took with the Zx1 - click link in video. Anyway, personally I would recommend not buying either - I now have a Flip Ultra - its not HD but who needs HD? It's still good quality and the sound is great. I have also uploaded footage took with a my flip ultra (click the relevant link in the video). Hope that helps.

www.WebVideoUniverse.com Video cameras are getting smaller than any of us could have predicted, with consumers preferring feature-light cams they can slip in a pants pocket. Here's a preview of Kodak's upcoming HD mini, the Zi6.
This is the camcorder that I have been using for most of my videos since November 1st, 2008. It was the first pocket-sized camcorder with full 720P HD video, and I think it still holds its own against increasing competition in its class. I also discuss the new features added by the 1.11 firmware update from Kodak. Note that Kodak has now released the Zx1 model, which is basically the same thing as the Zi6 but in an even smaller form factor. Its audio quality does not appear to be as good as the Zi6, however.
So I got this new pocket video camera, the Kodak Zi6, and I'm testing it in the daylight while it's snowing. Why does Klamath Falls have to snow in April?? I sold my van, I'm sad now. It's just me and the Pontiac Lemans now. Camera is set to HD 30fps, it has one more HD setting with 60fps.
This video is me unboxing the Kodak Zi6 HD camera that I bought about 2 days ago. It can shoot in VGA, HD @ 30fps, HD @ 60fps and can take stills. Once I use it for a while I will be making a video review, right now I have some pros and cons about it so ill see how many I have by the end of this week or before and make a review. I hope you enjoy the unboxing. Comment, Rate, Subscribe and remember to Check out my site at: www.blakeology.com
