***update feb 2011 sold playsport and now have a nikkon L110 will do a review sometime. just me going on a rant on why I hate the new Flip Slide and Mino Series. some people may be mad at this review but you can blow me. the Kodak playsport ZX3 is way better on so many levels. flip should have listened. for 300 bucks i would rather go buy a camcorder with night vision and a light. oh and I forgot it also has EIS electronic image stabilization hahahahah FLIP you don't have that either go buy a tri pod

Here is my unboxing of the Kodak Playsport! This camera is waterproof to 3 meters and ten feet and is designed to be rugged and durable. It was bought by me from Amazon.com for $149.00 This camera shoots 1080p HD, 720p HD w/ 30 fps or 60 fps, it also shoots Standard Definition quality video which does not take up much memory space but still does not look to bad at all. This camera took about 1.5 weeks to arrive to my house with Amazon's standard shipping. Another good place to buy this is at Amazon's official website but you do have to pay shipping and tax which you don't have to pay when buying from Amazon, plus the camera is $149.99 on Kodak.com vs $149.00 at Amazon so you can buy some gum balls with that extra $0.99 that you save.

I compare a couple sub-$20 fisheye lenses for my pocket camcorder Kodak ZX3 Playsport. It should fit on most Flip, Kodak, JVC, Vado pocket camcorders. The Kodak Zx3 Playsport Pocket Camera - New Camera!
i purchased a Kodak Playsport Zx3 from Amazon. com and thought i would test it out. and it seems to work pretty good except for a few items. wind and microphone dont mix. While a little annoying, you get used to it but there is no way to view yourself when vlogging. actually you can see where the lens is and work it out after just one recording. over all not a bad camera. it does 1080p, 720p and 480p. 5 mega pixel camera for stills. and seeing as i got it for 29.00 (because of an Award from Work, it lists for 126.88 on Amazon) not a bad deal to have a spare camera and a waterproof one for hurricane season. i was not paid by kodak to make this video, but if they wanna send a few bucks, i'll take it! :P MyTwitter: www.twitter.com My Blogtv www.blogtv.com my dailybooth www.dailybooth.com

Kodak Zx3 Playsport sample video: Sailing in Muiderberg
This is some sample footage I filmed with the waterproof Kodak Playsport pocket videocamera while sailing on the IJmeer near Muiderberg. I flipped my boat over a couple of times, but thanks to the waterproof housing the camera still works :) The clips have been shot at 720p 60fps and I used Windows Live Movie Maker to edit the video and add the background music, I did not use any filters.

I picked this over the Zx5 because I like the CMOS sensor on this more for some reason, personal preference I guess. PROS: -Great portability, easily grasped by hand, and not too heavy in pocket. -Water proof! Up to 10 feet ( haven't tested this feature but I soon will when I head to Hawaii) -Durable: has a tough outer exterior, built to withstand small drops -Video quality is decent - records up to 1080p with a 5mp camera for pictures CONS: -Only 5mp camera for pictures - and the quality isn't all that, but hey I use it for video OVERALL: Great buy for those who want and inexpensive handheld video <b>...</b>
