Brought to you by www.digitalrev.com Looking for a compact and budget priced camcorder? We looked at some popular choices and picked out the Sanyo Xacti VPC-TH1 for a closer look. DigitalRevs Verdict 19/30 Total from: Build: 4/5 Design: 3/5 Innovation: 2/5 User Friendliness: 4/5 Performance: 3/5 Image Quality: 3/5
Just wanted a comparison between the two camcorders. They are both relatively the same size. The Sanyo is a high definition camera, which is why I wanted it. They are both recording in 640X480. The sanyo can record in 720p but the Sony is not high definition. I prefer the Sanyo as I can clearly tell there is better color saturation, and it can record in high def. It takes SDHC memory cards so the max you can record is 32GB (but that's still 8 hours in high def). The only aspect I didn't like is that the sony handles low-light situations better than the sanyo. Please tell me what you guys think.

This is to show the quality of the movies produced by the camcorder and to show the abilities of the zoom. w2best.se There is two things I really do like about the camera. 1. You can take pictures while you are shooting a video without stopping. 2. It switches on and off when you open the lcd. That's awsome for me who always forget to turn my cameras off!

Watch in HD. If there's no HD button then try watching later cause it means it has to process.
The shoot-out can be found at www.youtube.com .
Test footage in daylight conditions: espresso machine, art, car drive.
Testing the quality very quickly to see what its like indoors during mid-afternoon and as well as very quick outdoors.. will do more testing later when quinn gets home, since he likes to be on camera and i really do not..

Settings used in this clip: ISO 50 Manual Focus 1 step from eternity. NO Image Stabilizer (but the camera is on stand) Full zoom at the start. Minimum zoom in the end. You can see the camera has plenty of cromatic abberation, especially at the full zoom. This video is submitted to show the difference from the other quality test i posted which is done with Auto ISO and Auto Focus and Image Stabilizer. Hope you enjoy it and do not hesitate to comment! jonaslarsson.info
