Edited with iMovie'09 and used Quicktime at best quality to compress a 300mb H264 video file. The Canon EOS 1D Mark IV was paired with the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens. The Canon EOS 60D was paired with the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS lens. A 77mm Fader ND Mark II Variable Neutral Density Filter by Fader was attached to the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens for this video test and review. Few consumer cameras have a viewfinder anymore. I need a viewfinder in bright light situations. The display is big and bright. The optics are clear. The optical zoom is usually enough, but the electronic zoom is fine when you can't bring a bunch of stuff with you. The internal memory with two card slots make it pretty hard for me to run out of storage. I do not have a blue=ray burner, but most of my friends won't be able to tell I made a DVD in Standard Definition using 16:9.Most of the accessories are very useful. I put the skylight filter on right away. The extra batteries are the Vivitar equivalent to the Canon BP-819 which have about 200 minutes capacity. The BP-819 stuck out too far in my old camera, but fits nicely in the HF G10. The external charger has a European plug adaptor which will come in handy for us.The package I received was missing the wide angle lens. Alex at Sunset Electronics shipped one to me right away. Alex had a great customer service attitude.I got a couple things in the package I really liked. There was a mini-tripod which is great for travel.
