A review video for B+W Kaesemann CPL Filter. The filter is rotated over 360 degrees. Varying reflection intensity on a shiny laptop keyboard can been seen. Note that at certain orientation of the polarizer, the reflection intensity is higher than what would be seen without a polarizer. Canon T2i/550D, EF 135mm F/2L.

Edited with iMovie'09 and used Quicktime at best quality to compress a 300mb H264 video file. The Canon EOS 1D Mark IV was paired with the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens. The Canon EOS 60D was paired with the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS lens. A 77mm Fader ND Mark II Variable Neutral Density Filter by Fader was attached to the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens for this video test and review. How to put a filter on a lens
Today I demonstrate how to put a B+W UV / IR cut filter (77mm) onto my Canon 24-105 F4 L IS USM lens. Although I used my lens, the same procedure is for all diameter front-on lenses. Screw them in. A UV / IR filter helps to reduce interruptions due to UV and IR interference, and can be left on as a normal "protective" filter as well. I personally recommend either B+W or Heliopan as their quality controls are the strictest of the filter manufacturers

Sony FS100- Genus ND Fader Test
Unhappy with a Tiffen variable ND filter due to softness, I purchased the Genus Fader ND and performed a test with the Sony FS100 and 18-200mm kit lens. The FS100 was placed on fully automatic settings with picture profile off. I tried several comparisons with and without the Genus filter at various focal lengths. The Genus filter is 77mm and I used a Promaster 67-77mm step-up ring. The footage was aligned within After Effects CS5 and was not corrected in any way. The project file was then imported to Premiere Pro. While I can observe some softness at all focal lengths on the original footage from the camera, when it is rendered out it seems to becomes less obvious.
