16GB Class 10 SD-Card from Transcend - frustration free packaging [Unboxing 5: Amazon]
Hi people, this is just a quick unboxing video of the 16GB Class 10 SD-Card from Transcend that I ordered from Amazon. And I chose "frustration free packaging" because it was the cheapest one - but still there was still some frustration because of a longer shipping time than usually. Anyway, I now use this Memory Card in my Sanyo VPC-CG10 and it worked perfectly fine so far. So yes, I am satisfied with the purchase and also transfer rates are good. Thus my recommondation is: Buy it if you need one. That's it, see me in my next video coming very soon. 16gb Sandisk Extreme SDHC USH-1 C10 vs Transcend 16gb C10 in D7000
Sorry for the crappy quality.. I was using a old video camera that only shot at 4:3 aspect ratio and is a point and shoot. Anyways.. I bought the Sandisk Extreme because it was faster.. more reliable and all more rugged. I have found the card to be very fast over my Transcend card. However.. I have ran into issues with the card not always working in my camera and some how Sandisk said they were reliable.. that doesn't seem reliable to me.. now doesn't it? So I might be switching to a Lexar Pro card.. even though it is slightly slow than the Sandisk.. it may work better with the D7000 than the Sandisk. I'm not sure why these Sandisk Extremes doesn't want to work with D7000's.. I guess they just don't like them. But the reason why I wanted a new memory card is because the transcend card is very slow at transferring the images camera to the computer. The Sandisk was super fast. I also got it because it was more rugged as I tend to drop these little buggers a lot. So I will probably be sending it back to B&H to get a replacement OR get a Lexar Pro. Early 2011 Macbook Pro will not read Sandisk Extreme Class 10 16gb SD Card
*UPDATE 28th June 2011* - Seems like the problem has been resolved with the new 10.6.8 update. It can take awhile, at least 10 seconds at times, for the card to be detected, but at least it now works! Thanks to Houdini528 for highlighting it! If you're still having problems please share so others are aware. Cheers! ----------------------------- I have this problem which is quite frustrating. I recently purchased a 15 inch 2011 MBP 2.2ghz i7 and everything's great, except for that I'd also recently bought a Sandisk 16gb Extreme SDHC Class 10 SD Card, and it can't seem to be read on the new laptop!!! It works through an external reader, it also works on older versions of MBPs and iMacs. At times, for some reason, it works on the new laptop too! I understand that the new SD Card Readers for the 2011 MBPs are wired through PCIE, unlike the older models which are wired through a USB port on the chipset...could this be affecting the problem? Apple please resolve this soon, Sandisk won't (and shouldn't) take back the card because there's nothing wrong with it. *I don't have a video here, but the card also faces the same problem on 2 other early 2011 MBPs I've tested them on, so I doubt it's just my laptop that's acting up.
