We just picked up our Canon EF macro 100mm f/2.8L IS USM. Quickly unpacked it, threw it onto the 5Dmk2 body and went straight outside into our little backyard. A tripod is definitely recommended for this one. Can't wait to get out and use it on one of our shoots.
