I used this lens with Canon 500D and didn't notice a huge difference in picture quality in comparison with the kit lens, therefore I've returned 15-85mm and bought a prime 50mm f/1.4. It was a good swap. This is my first review, so don't be too harsh in comments below :) Thanks for watching
If you need a good all-around lens for your Canon DSLR, this may be for you. I got it with my 7D but I would get it for any Canon APS-C DSLR. It's a good lens to have in your bag. The front element does not rotate so filters are no problem.

It's a good kit lens, with image stabiliser and wide angle and I would recommend it for beginners, though I will replace mine in the future. The lens was mounted on my Canon EOS 550D (Rebel T2i) and I was shooting at 720p 60fps which I then slowed down for many of the shots. Song: Crooked Mile by Admiral Bob

A Quick look at EFS 15-85mm Lens from canon. Maybe I should have mentioned all this in the video but you can read it here: @sadiqalmo I have had this lens for a week now and have taken around 700 pictures and I just looked through my pictures to answer your question. * I don't see any chromatic aberration, there are a few shots in low light (with very slow shutter speeds) that seem to be chromatic aberration but i think it may have more to do with camera shake. * There is definite distortion at 15mm. I wouldn't call it large, and its hard to notice unless you take a picture of something straight and it shows up a bit curvy. Distortion is most easily noticeable when you pan horizontally. But then again, its a zoom lens so its hard to not have distortion. Final word on distortion: its not a lot and it doesn't bother me personally. * Vignetting is only a problem when zoomed in. Most of my shots that are zoomed in don't have vignetting but some do. Its most noticeable when taking picture something with same color in a large part of the frame (like a blue sky). I would recommend it, and the reason i got this over the 17-40 F/4L, 17-55 F/2.8 or 24-105f4/L is because i wanted something that can do wide angle and decent telephoto (on a crop frame body). Few other things i want to mention: - Image Stabilizer is amazing, you can pull off hand held shots at 1/8 shutter speed if you are steady. - Lens creep from 50-24mm range just like the review from camera labs shows. - Although i ...

The 17-55 is often pitted against the 18-55 kit lens on forums but there arten't that many videos of the two side by side. This video was something i slapped together for the POTN forum when someone asked about focusing speed. I mostly use my 7D these days but with the 500D if you can't upgrade quick USM lenses solves some of the shortcomings of the AF sensor on the Rebel cameras.
When I was deciding on this lens there really were not many videos on youtube with in-depth reviews of this lens, these usually help me in my decisions so I promised myself within a few months of owning this lens I would put a review up, I hope this will help others in making their decisions. heres my email for any questions! Выбрался на пару часиков в лес в Сочи в районе Мацесты. Решил опробовать объектив CANON EF 28-135 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM с поляризационным фильтром Nikon 77mm Circular Polarizer II Thin Ring Multi-Coated Glass Filter. Came out on a couple of hours in the woods near Sochi Matsesta. Decided to test the lens CANON EF 28-135 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM with a polarizing filter Nikon 77mm Circular Polarizer II Thin Ring Multi-Coated Glass Filter. In principle, in its price range, the lens copes with the tasks of filming, and the filter makes the picture a velvety, removing the contrast in the highlights and solar flares and on the foliage and water. In a beautiful bokeh lens and a good grip, allow you to attach a picture artistry.
Люфт объектива при фокусных расстояниях от 30мм до 60мм и наклоне объектива более +70 или -70.
Sorry for the silly music. Lol But yeah, this is an all-around, VERY good lens, I wasn't to happy with the way it was packaged in the box, my 55-250mm was packed better than that with plastic molds AND bubble wrap! Double bubble wrap though... Ehhh... But enjoy!
Testing this great wide angle zoom lens. 15mm is an equivalent of 24mm, on a full frame/35mm format camera.

So here is the review of the Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM. Shot by the iPhone 4S. This is the first time I reviewed a product! Yay me! Unfortunately, there are things that are lacking: 1.) Actual coverage of photoshoots. 2.) Err... compare and contrast (will be in part 2 soon!) 3.) Actual footage of some... roleplay or something? lol Well, before you comment, please take note of the following: 1.) Call my accent fake and unnatural, but that's the way I speak in English (sometimes). 2.) I know that there are mishaps in reviewing the lens, and I didn't even show my face due to the fact that I still look haggard lol. 3.) If you have nothing nice to say at all, rather not watch this video.

Official Announcement... I believe this is the last video I created using my very first Mac laptop ever (yes, I'm having a new one because everything in the Mac is severely damaged), and another thing, this stupid Cybercrime Law in our country will take effect at the day after tomorrow... so I must enjoy ranting and ranting on the next day! JOKE! Well, with regards to the video, I think there's nothing malicious here. It's ALL SAMPLE PHOTOGRAPHS to those who'll ask me if the two subjects are officially a couple... answer is NO. Also, since this is the "part 2" of the EF-S 15-85mm lens review, this also includes comparison between the kit lens supplied with the 550D together with the Sigma superzoom lens (the most antique lol). This may not be a "complete" review (in Tagalog it's "bitin"), but I'll try my best to review all the lenses that I have right now so that we could proceed to the prospectives.
