Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens Review
I used this lens with Canon 500D and didn't notice a huge difference in picture quality in comparison with the kit lens, therefore I've returned 15-85mm and bought a prime 50mm f/1.4. It was a good swap. This is my first review, so don't be too harsh in comments below :) Thanks for watching

Canon EF-S 18-135 F/3.5-5.6 IS LENS
If you need a good all-around lens for your Canon DSLR, this may be for you. I got it with my 7D but I would get it for any Canon APS-C DSLR. It's a good lens to have in your bag. The front element does not rotate so filters are no problem.

It's a good kit lens, with image stabiliser and wide angle and I would recommend it for beginners, though I will replace mine in the future. The lens was mounted on my Canon EOS 550D (Rebel T2i) and I was shooting at 720p 60fps which I then slowed down for many of the shots. Song: Crooked Mile by Admiral Bob

Canon EFS 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Zoom Lens For Digital SLR Cameras
www.robnunnphoto.com This lens comes as the standard kit glass with most entry-level Canon SLR's, but that doesn't mean it's not a good option for those of us who haven't tried a wide IS lens before. The 18mm wide angle is good for landscapes and interiors, and at 55mm this lens steps into portrait territory, so it's an excellent walk around lens, especially if you can team it up with the longer 55-250 IS. Canon 500D EF-s 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 IS vs EF-s 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM Focusing Speed
The 17-55 is often pitted against the 18-55 kit lens on forums but there arten't that many videos of the two side by side. This video was something i slapped together for the POTN forum when someone asked about focusing speed. I mostly use my 7D these days but with the 500D if you can't upgrade quick USM lenses solves some of the shortcomings of the AF sensor on the Rebel cameras.

Hoje com a divertidíssima Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6, minha primeira lente do sistema EF-S da Canon e um grande game changer da marca lançado em 2004 destinado apenas para os corpos crop. Com equivalência de 28.8-88mm no full frame, é ideal como uma walk-around lens e era vendida só nos kits da época. Hoje já está na versão II e com estabilizador. É o equipamento mais barato para todo mundo que não precisa sair torrando em equipamento L, tem ótima qualidade de imagem e eu tenho 150.000 fotos com ela. In this video, I review the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. This kit lens is perhaps not the sharpest lens in my bag, but it does the job quite well for prints.
