playing with my macro lens. Recorded at 60 fps reduced to 23,97 fps.
Filmed with a Canon 60D and a EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens. I edited this video with Final Cut Pro X. It kept moving clips around the timeline and putting clips out of sync. I tried fixing it a few times, but I got fed up with it. So the ending is a bit off now unfortunately. I even had it correctly done when I uploaded it, then it messed it up again. Shot with the Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 lens and the Canon 60D at 1080p HD. Please Read: So I decided to re-edit some of the clips, and filmed some more because I realised my other video wasn't good enough :P The shots were too shaky generally not good quality. Please comment letting me know what the subject/theme of the new 'Going Macro' series should be :) -Cufflinks :D
Testing new Macro Lens
Lenses for shooting Macro - this Masterclass looks at the features and benefits of Canon Macro lenses including the EF-S60mm f/2.8 Macro USM, the EF100mm f/2.8L Macro IS and the MP-E65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro. It also examines key factors to consider when shooting macro subjects such as shooting distance, depth-of-field, using small apertures, fast shutter speeds, magnification and handheld macro.
Just a short HD video test using the Canon EF-S 60mm F2.8 USM Macro lens. For a non-L glass lens, the quality really is fantastic. Plenty of detail, smooth focus, nice colours. Highly recommended if you want to do macro shooting on a non L glass budget.

Here, a short review of the Canon EF-S 60mm Macro USM. Lens that permits to take beautiful shots with blurred effect in the back. In addition to macro photography (insects, flowers, food, etc), it works for portrait photography. An advice, you should always use a 52mm filter to protect the lens, and if it is Multicoated, a lot better. (This video has no technical information, only with informative purpose)
