    Test video from my new Nikon D5000 18-55 VR Kit - AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G, CMOS sensor, 23.6 x 15.8 mm; total pixels: 12.9 million. This video has not been re-processed in any way, ie uploaded straight off the memory card. Please note, this video is purely a test only. I will not be using the D5000 to create my future videos. The Canon Camcorder is there for that!

    Just showing the capabilities of this Camera during video mode. Note this, there is no continuous auto-focus option available during video recording in the D5000. If you plan to buy this cam, Think twice. I'm not saying that this DSLR sucks but, in my opinion, Canon owns just a wee bit when it comes to video recording. By the way, the videos resolution is 640X424. And for pictures, Canon and Nikon are just the same in the long run. But Nikon has more bokehlicious features. Cheers.

    A video of my dog eating treats out of her kong in low light. Recorded with the Nikon D3100 DSLR and the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens. I'm using the manual focus, so it's quieter than the auto focus, but also much slower because I couldn't remember which way to turn the lens to focus on a closer or farther subject. The noise at 0:16 is me flipping the switch on the lens, turning autofocus off. I really like this camera's video quality in low light. In this light (compact florescent) it got that greenish almost sepia-like coloring which I really really like for some reason.
