Canon EF 28mm f/2.8 Prime Lens Review - On My Canon EOS 350d / Digital Rebel XT
www.robnunnphoto.com Another lens I bought from eBay a few months ago. The Canon EF 28mm f is a prime lens, which means there's no zoom, but it offers great image quality and a pretty fast (wide) aperture for a bargain price. Offering about the equivalent of a 45mm lens on a crop sensor dSLR like my 350d / Rebel XT, it's great for landscapes or portraits where you need that extra angle of view. Watch out for some barrel distortion at the edges, but overall I love this lens, and it's the one that I always leave on my camera. Cheers, Rob

Tamron 28 75 f/2.8 lens review (HD viewing)
I can't say enough about this little lens from Tamron. Stop using lenes which sift the aperture over the zoom length. Pros will always use lenes with an apeture of f/2.8 or faster.

Only do this if your warranty is expired, Nikon refuses to fix your stiff zoom ring, you need your lens ASAP and dont want to wait to get it back, angry at the world, jumping ship to Pentax. lol. UPDATE*** 02/06/11 - SOLD my Nikkor 24-70 to my nikon buddy who will use this lens more than me, he is a wedding photographer, and the lens zoom ring is still smooth and doesn't stick or get stuck at all.
