Hello, Today I am going to be reviewing the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 Telephoto lens. As mentioned this lens is the Nikon Mount. Over-all I am extremely happy with this lens! It's performs amazing for it's price. It's has a lot more uses than just being a 70-200mm lens. The Macro is ok, gets the job done. And this lens does great for portraits, sports, and even landscape. It's pretty sharp throughout the entire zoom range and no part of the lens moves while zooming, the front nor rear element moves. The mount is 77mm. The lens weighs about 3 pounds so a tripod/monopod is probably wanted. The lens cost about $800. You will be very happy with this lens. Very happy. B&H Photo Video Link; bit.ly Music- Grafix- One Condition All photo's taken by myself using a Nikon D60 and D300 with the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 attached. *Just to note, this lens does not have any type of image stabilization on it. Which is a huge deal-breaker because of the f/2.8 aperture on it. Thanks, chargerfun34

Two FLD glass elements, which have the performance equal to fluorite glass have also been added along with three SLD glass elements, all which provide excellent correction of color aberration. In spite of the additions of all of these features, Sigma has managed to make the lens more compact than its predecessor, measuring only 7.8" in length. For any serious photographer where the 70-200mm focal range is often the most important second lens to own after the initial standards lens or mid range zooms. The fast aperture is extremely useful and important in low light environments or when shooting fast moving situations where a higher shutter speed demands maximum lights thru the lens. HSM ensures quiet and high speed AF as well as full-time manual focus capability. Super Multi-Layer lens coating reduces flare ghosting and assures high image quality throughout the entire zoom range. It has a minimum focusing distance of 55.1 inches throughout the entire zoom range and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:8 ...

artoftheimage.blogspot.com - A slideshow of photos shot with the new Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX DG OS on the Nikon D7000. All images were shot in RAW and processed in Adobe Lightroom 3.3. By way of an up-date... I've been shooting a fair bit with the new Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX DG OS, and I'm really liking it. Very sharp and very fast to focus. The OS (optical stabilization) is on par with Canon IS or Nikon VRII. Build quality is very good. It's a really nice lens.
froknowsphoto.com Click here to see the FULL RES sample images and analyze them for yourself. Today I got my hands on this $3199 lens at Allen's Camera 215.547.2841. This is a mega zoom that is a fixed 2.8 lens. What that means is if you are at 120mm it is a 2.8 and at 300mm it still is a 2.8. This is a very unique lens that no one other than Sigma make. This is the first version to have OS built in and from my sample images it really does a great job stabilizing you images. This is a video of the NIKON lens I am selling on ebay. As you can see everything is perfect but that stiffness when it reaches 250mm-300mm. I bought it with a Mack Warranty but never used it. I don't use this lens much so I haven't attempted to fix it yet. If you think you could do it good or if you could use it like that great. I don't know if mack fixes it but you could try.

If you were to think of the new Sigma 120-300mm F2.8 EX DG as a super-sized version of our 70-200mm F2.8 lens, that makes a lot of sense. And if you were to think of it as a zoomable and optically stabilized variation on the popular 300mm F2.8 prime telephoto lens, that also makes a lot of sense. Key items in the feature set include optical stabilization, fast constant 2.8 aperture and a hypersonic motor for fast autofocus- all for a price that's flat our amazing. For sports, wildlife and news photographers, this lens has a lot to offer. Reference: vimeo.com The official Vimeo Pro Page of Sigma Corporation of America. www.sigmaphoto.com
