This lens is Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX DC Macro HSM (Built-in motor) (Nikon fit). Mounted with Nikon D80(also has motor). I tested AF speed. In my opinion, I think it's quite slow. What do you thing? Or I get the bad copy? Thanks for your comment. UPDATE : The happy ending www.youtube.com

*Now available* An upgrade to its predecessor, the 18-50mm F2.8-4.5 DC OS HSM is a lens dedicated to digital SLR cameras with APS-C size image sensors offering a large aperture and Sigmas Optical Stabilization. Once again, Sigma has also engineered the built-in OS function, an anti-shake system, for Sony and Pentax mount allowing the photographer to see a stabilized image in the viewfinder. The combination of the large aperture of F2.8 and anti-shake function makes capturing exceptional photos in low light achievable, and the wide angle is well suited for indoor photography. Two SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements and three Aspherical lenses provide excellent correction for all types of aberrations. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting. Designed with inner focusing and inner zooming systems, high image quality is assured throughout the entire zoom range. The overall length of the lens does not change during focusing and zooming ensuring convenient handling. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 11.8 inches (30cm) throughout the entire zoom range and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:4.1. The incorporation of HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures a quiet and high speed auto focus.

cmpstudios.com Review of the Sigma 18-50mm lens by Carl Miller
I bought it because it was CHEAP and it works on NIkon DX format DSLR. I am using this lens on the recently purchased Nikon D2H (Professional Camera from 2003-04). Even though it is only a 4MP camera, enlargements can be made up 20X30 without loss of full resolution. The lens is nice and compact. The overall length does not change when zooming in and out. Any questions or comments are welcome.

My bad, the filter size is actually 67mm. Amazon sent me the wrong one :-/ . But from what I've seen so far, this lens is pretty cool. I'll put it to the test against the Nikkor 18-55 soon.

Just received my Canon 60D and Sigma 18-50 in the mail, that I both ordered from Amazon, and thought I'd jump right in and get to know them both heh. So please bear with all the shaking and unsteadiness. I do plan on purchasing a stedicam for it next. Edited in Premire Pro but no other effects or anything else have been added. Everything is SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera). Video takes place at the Chapel Park in Mare Island, Vallejo CA. Pictures can be found here: www.flickr.com I do not own the music used on this video.
