Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 II APO EX DG (Macro) Telephoto Lens (Nikon Mount)
Hello, Today I am going to be reviewing the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 Telephoto lens. As mentioned this lens is the Nikon Mount. Over-all I am extremely happy with this lens! It's performs amazing for it's price. It's has a lot more uses than just being a 70-200mm lens. The Macro is ok, gets the job done. And this lens does great for portraits, sports, and even landscape. It's pretty sharp throughout the entire zoom range and no part of the lens moves while zooming, the front nor rear element moves. The mount is 77mm. The lens weighs about 3 pounds so a tripod/monopod is probably wanted. The lens cost about $800. You will be very happy with this lens. Very happy. Sigma lens that i purchased recently to replace a nikon 18-70mm kit lens. it is mainly used for weddings and just wandering around the neighborhood. list price is $900 but i can assure you that it it worth every penny. i have used the nikon equivalent and i would say this is on par (or atleast amazingly close) to the quality, feel, and end result. it was on a Nikon d80 with an MBD80 battery grip for this video

Two FLD glass elements, which have the performance equal to fluorite glass have also been added along with three SLD glass elements, all which provide excellent correction of color aberration. Full HD 1080p Video using the NIKON D800 with a SIGMA f/2.8 24-70mm EX DG HSM Lens
Happily happened to buy a NIKON D800 body at El Corte Inglés of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for a really good price (which is strange), but, alas, with a SIGMA f/2.8 24-70mm EX DG HSM lens, because the original equivalent NIKON FX lense to cope with the NIKON D800 was temporarily out of stock at all Las Palmas de Gran Canaria stores. Nonetheless, I made some still tests with the Sigma lens, stressing it to the maximum of my needs and I'm quite pleased having had the opportunity to get hands onto the SIGMA lens at Duke Fotografias in Santa Catalina/Las Palmas de Gran Canaria just in order to have a nice light-weight, rather short in extension. shoot-around lens until I get my old, but damn nifty, professional Leica -R lenses back from leitax.com, having them adapted for the D800. The video doesn't have the pretention to be a quality test. It's just uttermostly minimalistic! It's just the very first video I shot with the NIKON D800 out of my kitchen window in Barga/Italy and I quite liked the Rubinia Tree top (false Acacia) swaying in the center (automatic focussing was impossible on that fimsy object, so I just left the automatic focussing on I had uncaringly chosen before hitting the video button!). So I just grayscaled it in order to focus on the mere movement and choose, among the 300 MP3-files I had at disposal to match lengthwise the video, the tender theme "Song for Ellen", composed and played by divine Joe Pass.(I'm myself a jazz and tango nuevo guitar player and <b>...</b>
