I tried the APS-C lens "SIGMA 30mm F1.4 EX DC" with an EOS Kiss X4(Rebel T2i / 550D). As a result, that was the most wonderful lens I've ever bought. SIGMA 30mm F1.4 EX DC It's a lens! F1.4, it's this bright! Oh! There's even a len's pouch inside Ahh, this.. I've waited about a year for this!! I've wanted this for so so long.. The len's fixture. I said it just now, but I've wanted this for a long long time! And I've said before "I want this! I want this" but this was the first time using it.. And.. as expected...It's great!! Teeehee! It's so clear! It's completely light!! Just now I went to my my other room, and it's completely dark, no light is entering the room... But the photos are easily visible by anyone! This is so suprising! The brightness of the picture is so clear! The focus is so good! Everyone speaks highly about it, but now I understand! But there is 1 thing.. The len's end is about 40 cm I'd like it a little longer but after taking photos... It really is amazing!! Maybe I should use this as my main lens? I wonder if I should make a movie with this? It was worth waiting the 1 year.. I'm glad! This was the SIGMA 30mm F1.4 EX DC

Canon EOS 550D + Sigma 30mm F1.4 Low Light Test /w Original Audio
Canon EOS 550D (T2i / Kiss X4) Sigma 30mm F1.4 EX DC HSM (Hyper-Sonic Motor) Audio Technica AT9941 (Stereo) L-Cut Mode Since it's a test video, I didn't replace the original audio with any background music, and of course no color correction, no audio gain normalization whatsoever, just pure the original footage I put together ! All video were taken handheld with manual video setting, manual focus (autofocus is a no no in video mode), and since my lens don't have Image Stabilization, it looks a bit shaky. Lens with IS will help a lot if you're recording handheld. Thanks to big aperture of F/1.4, I didn't have to pump my ISO over 800 or even 1600. But that also depends on the location, on a very poor lit condition I can pump my ISO to 1600, but still performs better than any other lens with smaller aperture. Please note that the uploaded version to YouTube will have a "slight" image quality degradation compared to the original footage.

This is the review (Incredibly long review) of the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 HSM here tested on the cropped frame camera the canon the t2i or 550d. This lens is a DC lens meaning it is for Cropped frame cameras only. it come in mounts for nikon canon sony sigma and pentax, its performance at f/2.8 is fantastic but it gets a bit mushy at f/1.8 and f/1.4 but for video this lens gives some sweet looks to your production. lovely shallow depth of field and pretty good going macro (close up) ability. roughly the price is around £390 as of October 2012 If you enjoy myvideos please post them on your Facebook page and let others know about this channel, please subscribe and share on Facebook and twitter.
