For the season 2 premiere, the DRTV team gets a suitcase full of UK pounds for the budget of the new season of DRTV shows. Hello, Today I am going to be reviewing the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 Telephoto lens. As mentioned this lens is the Nikon Mount. Over-all I am extremely happy with this lens! It's performs amazing for it's price. It's has a lot more uses than just being a 70-200mm lens. The Macro is ok, gets the job done. And this lens does great for portraits, sports, and even landscape. It's pretty sharp throughout the entire zoom range and no part of the lens moves while zooming, the front nor rear element moves. The mount is 77mm. The lens weighs about 3 pounds so a tripod/monopod is probably wanted. The lens cost about $800. You will be very happy with this lens. Very happy. B&H Photo Video Link; bit.ly Music- Grafix- One Condition All photo's taken by myself using a Nikon D60 and D300 with the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 attached. *Just to note, this lens does not have any type of image stabilization on it. Which is a huge deal-breaker because of the f/2.8 aperture on it. Thanks, chargerfun34
Hello, Today I am going to be unboxing the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 APO EX DG Macro Lens W/ Nikon Mount. This lens has a 77mm filter size and feels very sturdy with some good weight to it. So far I am extremely happy with this lens!
Great lens. Would definitely recommend. Sorry the lighting's all poor, I recorded from my webcam, and it can't really pick up light all that well. www.flickr.com Here's a link to my Flickr, you can tell which photos I've taken with the lens by reading the EXIF data.
www.ollie.neglerio.com Sigma's APO 70-200mm F2.8 II EX DG Macro HSM is for any serious photographer where the 70-200mm focal range is often the most important second lens to own after the initial standards lens or mid range zoom. The fast aperture is extremely useful and important in low light environments or when shooting fast moving situations where a higher shutter speed demands maximum lights thru the lens. Over 5 low dispersion, SLD (Special Low Dispersion) and ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion) glass elements provide optimum color correction & sharpness throughout the entire zoom range Super Multi-Layer lens coating reduces flare ghosting and assures high image quality throughout the entire zoom range. Its exceptional versatility as an all-around lens is perfect for journalists and wedding photographers. Two FLD glass elements, which have the performance equal to fluorite glass have also been added along with three SLD glass elements, all which provide excellent correction of color aberration. In spite of the additions of all of these features, Sigma has managed to make the lens more compact than its predecessor, measuring only 7.8" in length. artoftheimage.blogspot.com - A slideshow of photos shot with the new Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX DG OS on the Nikon D7000. All images were shot in RAW and processed in Adobe Lightroom 3.3. By way of an up-date... I've been shooting a fair bit with the new Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX DG OS, and I'm really liking it. Very sharp and very fast to focus. The OS (optical stabilization) is on par with Canon IS or Nikon VRII. Build quality is very good. It's a really nice lens.
