Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 II APO EX DG (Macro) Telephoto Lens (Nikon Mount)
Hello, Today I am going to be reviewing the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 Telephoto lens. As mentioned this lens is the Nikon Mount. Over-all I am extremely happy with this lens! It's performs amazing for it's price. It's has a lot more uses than just being a 70-200mm lens. The Macro is ok, gets the job done. And this lens does great for portraits, sports, and even landscape. It's pretty sharp throughout the entire zoom range and no part of the lens moves while zooming, the front nor rear element moves. The mount is 77mm. The lens weighs about 3 pounds so a tripod/monopod is probably wanted. The lens cost about $800. You will be very happy with this lens. Very happy. Sigma lens that i purchased recently to replace a nikon 18-70mm kit lens. it is mainly used for weddings and just wandering around the neighborhood. list price is $900 but i can assure you that it it worth every penny. i have used the nikon equivalent and i would say this is on par (or atleast amazingly close) to the quality, feel, and end result. it was on a Nikon d80 with an MBD80 battery grip for this video

수 많은 시그마 렌즈 중 불특정 다수의 렌즈가 새로 출시된 DSLR에서 먹통이라면? 사건의 발단은 니콘 D3100과 D7000이 출시된 지난 2010년 8월과 10월에 출시로 거슬러 올라간다. 시그마 렌즈가 해당 DSLR에서 인식되지 않거나 AF 등이 정상 작동하지 않는 문제가 발생한 것이다. 물론, 핫픽셀 문제로 홍역을 치루다 제조사 측에서 펌웨어를 내놓기로 한 니콘 D7000의 또다른 문제점은 아니다. 단순히 시그마 렌즈 자체의 문제다. 사용자들은 과거에도 종종 시그마 렌즈 펌웨어 문제를 겪었기에 이내 렌즈 펌웨어가 공개될 것이라 생각했지만, 그것은 큰 오산이었다. 4개월이 넘도록 렌즈를 사용할 수 없는 상황이 지속되고 있기 때문이다.

Sony a55 with Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 IF EX DG focusing demo
My new Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 IF EX DG has arrived today and after some initial tests i have to say I'm very happy with it on my Sony a55. This video demonstrates (under really low light conditions) the very fast and silent focusing of this lens. It also demonstrates that the Sony alpha does a very good focusing job as well and that the Sony SteadyShot helps a lot. I'm very happy with this setup.
