I conclude that for £70 you could get some useable shots if your video is destined for youtube viewing. Obviously you can't expect it to be fantastic for the money. If you have a long lens say a 300m you xcould probably get the same results by shooting in 1080p and cropping in on the video, then rendering at 720p. I'll do a follow up video with it tested against my tamron 18-270mm as a comparision (when I get some time)

Ik kom overigens dezelfde lens ook tegen onder de merknaam Samyang. From a tripod with a Sony A55 and a Ennex 800mm Mirror Lens(with 2x Converter - makes it 1600mm !) I filmed the Moon in Mid Amsterdam .. I read a lot of bad comments on the net, but I like this lens !

Canon 600D / T3i - Ensinor 500mm f/8 - Mirror Lens Video Test - T-Mount to EOS - HD

Like my facebook page for regular updates - on.fb.me My second video testing a vintage lens on my EOS Canon DSLR using the T-mount thread mount to EOS adapter from eBay. In this video I test the Ensinor 500mm f/8 multi-coated mirror lens with my Canon 600D DSLR. This video was all shot from inside my house, I was shooting through a double glazed window. I had this lens given to me, however there is something wrong with the M42 threads on the rear. I cannot screw the M42 to EOS adapter onto it fully, as it gets stuck around half way down the threads. I am not too sure, but this makes the lens further away to the camera sensor, so how would this affect the video? This is a very long lens (zoomed in a lot), so it is very hard to focus and keep the video from shaking, as you can see in this video. I didn't enjoy using this lens as much as I did with the Chinon 200mm f/3.5 M42 lens, mainly due to the fact that on my cropped sensor DSLR it was zoomed in way too much causing a lot of camera shake. The focus ring is okay, almost a full 360 degrees of focus pull with a macro focal length of 1.7 metres. This video shows the footage without any major colour correction, only colour curves where used slightly to correct the brightness settings.
