    AF Nikon Lens to Canon Mount Adapter Recently purchased a "AF-Confirm Nikon AI AF Lens to Canon EOS EF mount adapter" from "jiakgong DIGITAL" store in eBay. Only cost $15. cgi.ebay.ca This adapter allows anyone to use their old Nikon AI AF lens (as long as you can select the Apature in the lens) to mount to a Canon EF mount. Old lens are much better for video and they are cheaper as well ;) Why spend so much on lens when the old ones work just fine. Tested it with my Canon 7D + Tamron SP AF 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro Lens. Also tested it with a Nikon 28mm f/2.8 and it is impressively sharp. The Tamron 90mm lens is an impressive lens it self. It is old but it still does a very good job. It is known for its impressive bokeh and very deep depth of field. And being a macro lens, you can really get up close with it. Strap it on my Canon 7D and it makes for an impressive video mode.     Just another foggy day in Corbetta. We DO get a lot of fog. Nikon D7000 and a Tamron Macro SP/AF 90mm f/2.8. Lens code is "172EN": that's the old version with no built-in focus motor. Shot on a tripod, 720p @30fps NTSC, camera set in Aperture priority mode (A) @ f/5.6, ISO 100, shutter speed between 1/80 and 1/160, Matrix metering, -0.7 EV exposure compensation, picture control set to neutral +7 sharpness, auto WB internal mike, auto gain. Manual focus on live view (which is a pain, due to the clutch system of the Tamron). Original .MOV file size= 350MB Post processed on a Windows 7 64 bit platform running Premiere Pro CS5.5 and AE CS5.5. I ended up with a 54MB .mp4 file, encoded with Adobe Media Encoder CS5.5.

    Tamron AF 70-200mm f/2.8 Di LD IF Macro Lens for Sony Digital SLR A-Mount Cameras 1 year Review and Sample images I have owned this lens for 1 year now, and wanted to do a followup review. All images shot with either the Sony Alpha a550 or Sony Alpha a77 Great Lens! Auto-focus: it's not too slow or too loud for my uses... If you want to use auto-focus while shooting video (but why?), then it may be too loud, but most of the noise is probably the in-camera focus motor Optically it's spectacular! It is quite heavy, so your camera's neck strap will probably not work, so i use a Black Rapid RS7 attached to the tripod collar and it works great, no problem carrying this lens all days. No vignette at all on a crop sensor at f2.8 this lens is sharp. by f3.5 it is amazingly sharp. I am able to cheat a little on my focal length - shutter speed rules because i shoot Sony, and have in-camera image stabilization. This lens is my go-to lens. I use it everywhere I go.
