Tripod review with a me showing you the tripod in use today 26 December 2010. The cost of the tripod was au$169. I would give this 10 out of 10 for a tripod. But for filming planes and needing a 180 degree pan it would help if the legs were further apart but really I just need to get use to it so i don't kick it.

This is my Swinburne University student assignment for Digital Video and Audio Production class. It's a mock promotional video for Wilsons Promontory National Park and is not an official Parks Victoria video. I went hiking with my mate and making the video for class was just a spur of the moment thing. I used the following equipment: Canon 550D Digital SLR camera (shooting in PAL mode @ 720p 50fps) • Lens = Cannon EFS-IS 17-85mm USM Lens • Kenko 67mm UV filter and a Cannon EW-73B lens hood • Storage on a Scandisk 16GB SDHC card (category 6) Rode Videomic • On site = mounted to camera • Dialogue = plugged directly into a MacBook Velbon CX 686 tripod with fluid head

Velbon CX 686 Tripod
Short review of the Velbon CX 686 tripod. The base is very stable with rubber pads to keep it from slipping on slick surfaces. The extension clips are strong and made of a durable plastic. Each of the legs are made of a strong aluminum. The fluid head is smooth and holds well. The quick release camera mount is very enjoyable and works well. I have not found any issues with the tripod that bother me. Canon 600D Video Test erstes Objektiv: Canon EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS II zweites Objektiv: Tamron AF 18-200mm 3,5-6,3 XR Di II Stativ: Velbon CX-686 Programe: iMovie, Garageband Das 2 Objektiv von Tamaron ist leider ohne Stabilisator .... jedoch ist es super in Verbindung mit einem Stativ führ nah aufnahmen von weit entfernten Objekten. Das Objektiv von Canon ist zum filmen ohne Stativ optimal. Das Stativ an sich ist mit einem Wasser Gedämpften Kopf ausgestattet und Lässt sich flüssig und ruckel frei bewegen.

Бюджетный вариант штатива, но очень хорошего качества. В своём классе любительских штативов он является лидером. Хорошая фирма, хорошее качество. Головка изготовлена из прочного пластика. Тренога алюминий, но люфта нет. В общем конструкция весит около 2 кг, для среднего штатива, это не плохой вес. Высота штатива от 165см до 2 м, идеально подходит на любой рост человека. Review básico sobre o tripé Velbon CX 686. É um excelente tripé, em minha opinião. Vale muito a pena para produtores independentes que estão começando (como eu) e procuram um resultado profissional sem gastar milhares de reais, em um tripé que suporte DSLR'S relativamente leves. O tripé é feito de alumínio e alcança uma altura de cerca de 1,60m. Com duas vias flúidas, o tripé tem uma excelente cabeça hidráulica com 'intensificadores' de suavidade capazes de controlar a força necessária para mover a mesma. Vale a pena conferir o resultado! É uma ótima proposta por um preço relativamente baixo se comparado a tripés de marcas mais famosas, com um resultado similar, se não o mesmo.
