I used it to take photos for Christmas cards and such. I had a problem when I received it, though, because I saw that it was supposed to include 2 handles (as shown in the product image) but I only had ONE !!! It had a pan handle but not a tilt handle. Wait...... after a week of trying to contact the seller to get a 2nd handle shipped to me, I just HAD to double check to make sure I wasn't dumb and missing it. Turns out, I was ! The handles are screwed into each other when they are shipped. That was not clearly mentioned in the diagram (though I'll be fair, I should've figured it out). They also don't clearly state how to setup the tripod. The general idea is simple enough (extend legs, twist to tighten, etc.) but it's not as quick and easy as I would have hoped. It is a GREAT travel tripod and would highly recommend getting it if you are going on any long trips as it is very light. I would not recommend it if you are using it on unstable surfaces (boats? bridges? windy areas?) as it is stable but not immovable.
