Tronix Explorer XT SE Powering Elinchrom 1200 RX Style
I just got these things today. The flash is an Elinchrom RX 1200 Style with 1200W The Power pack is an Tronix Explorer XT SE The light stand is a Manfrotto 1004BAC I'm using the power packs charge cable to show I'm powering it from the Explorer XT the cable that came with the 1200 RX was to long to be practical. The recording is made on a Canon 7D EF-s 17-55 combo and i'm using the Skyport transmitter to control the flash. I uploaded this because it was virtually impossible to find any Youtube video on the Elinchrom1200 RX Style, the 600 RX is common though and this unit is a bit larger but basically the same. Except for the power consumption :) Edit (2012-06-15): I just bought a D-lite It 2/4 set and powered it in addition to the 1200 RX, no problem whatsoever :) I don't know how many flashes the explorer pack can handle though but i'll find that out some day. The D-lite it 4 goes to 6.0 The D-lite it 2 goes to 5.0 The RX 1200 goes to 7.5 Which means the RX 1200 is 2.5 full stops more powerful then the D-lite 2.
